Would anyone, politely, care to critique Adam Hughes? UMD has been stronger v PSU in the recent past, but Adam lost a lot of firepower in the wake of that other guy going to IN... MD beat Ohio State at MD. That seems pretty good.

Didn't UMD also lose their All Big Ten senior hitter too? She was like 50% of their firepower the last couple years.

She was very disappointed when he took the Indiana job. Guess can't blame him. My understanding is that Indiana was much more committed to a good volleyball team than Maryland.

I can't imagine what Aird's feelings on the matter might be, but I'd bet that Coach Rose is happy that he's been able to stay with one program--never having to "leave players behind." I doubt many future coaches will have that opportunity.

Coming from a Penn State program, Steve Aird want's to win. So if Maryland was not committed to this in his point of view, then I understand why he left.

Jonni Parker just served the ball off of Kaitlyn Hord's head. Not something you see very often. Kaitlyn is pretty tall ...

So we got to see the 6-2, and the I don't have a name for the system in set three (where the setter tries to play OPP), slides from several different players in different spots, different players doing well in the back row (Gray and Hill), first kill for Phegley, Parker with several sets, and lots of smiles. Lucky to play the Washington Generals (er, Maryland Terps) at this stage of the season. Good for morale!
