We beat Purdue in several statistical categories except digs, and lost the match in 5. Does that remind y'all of anything? It was national cornhusking week this week.

All I know is I have never been a fan of her starting this year. I’ve always wanted blossom to get the time.

Overreacting a bit? This was far from Bryanna's exclusive fault. I’m just saying they don’t seem like a contender right now with Bryanna. And why waste valuable exp time for the setter who’s your future
We are not going to win any natties this year. I'd sprinkle her in from time to time, but Bryanna has earned her time to start and she's been playing fairly well. PSU's problem is not the setting this year. Our issue is that, besides Reed, we simply don't have consistent terminal hitters.

We disagree on that, but the key opinion is Coach Rose's. I do not believe he would ever play a player over a player he thinks is better, just to set things up for the following season. The players would see he was giving up on their season, and he would lose alot of credibility with them.

Parker also sometimes fits that description, but she also sometimes plays like the freshman she is. And Reed is a terminal hitter who also makes alot of errors. So I agree with you, with an asterisk.

It’s fine though I think I’ve seen enough psu sports this year. Frustrating me too much. Think I’m switching to pay attention to Stanford rest of year to keep from getting angry so much

6-4 is doable down the stretch for PSU. The losses? Nebraska, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota.
At least we haven't reached Hawaii lows... they're talking about the Wahine not even making the tourney this year. That would be a first since 1981 (or something).

Our side clearly snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Purdue was a stronger in system team because of their superior pin hitters. It was a great comeback by the Boilermakers. If our side had come back like that in a match, we would be dancing in the streets!
On another topic, the review system simply does not have the equipment to be effective. There were challenges on both sides that would have been upheld with the right equipment. When you need the call to be obviously wrong in order to override the ruling a finger touch or a ball just catching a line will never be seen with the current set up. Tonight both coaches used all of their challenges on legitimate close calls and none were upheld. I'm sure that the down official thought that a couple of the calls were probably wrong, but he had to know that they were wrong to overrule. The difference that top level equipment makes can be seen by watching any match from the world championships.
A final note - our side's service effectiveness continues decline from set 1 to set 2 to set 3.

It's a good thing you pointed that out earlier this week, because I definitely caught that.
I'm curious to hear the post match quotes from Russ. It feels like the team is wearing down mentally. That 3rd set collapse will come back to haunt us.
