25-19 win beats a stick in the eye.
I would think that even a loss beats a stick in the eye.

Northwestern had a nice crowd. Their announcers were OK.

14 attack errors by PSU is too high. However, our hitting percentage was pretty good, ATC (all things considered): .298 vs .178

You have a point there.

At least in the second two sets, I've noticed that the team seems to go through lackadaisical lapses where they give up three points or so. They seem to lose focus. Kinda late in the season for those.

Lower your expectations my friend. You'll live a longer and happier life. At least for this season.

I'm hoping for a 13-7 B1G, home court for first two rounds. After that, we'll see about the lapses.

We should be at an RPI of 13 with 2 more losses. With that, we'll be seeded and hosting the first 2 rounds. Heck even if our RPI is 20, we'll still probably be seeded and most VT'ers will have a conniption fit.

25-19 win beats a stick in the eye. Did you ever get a pain in the eye while drinking coffee?

Broken record here: please keep the spirit of Title IX going by building equity in the broadcast ranks when it comes to covering women's sports. The color commentator knew volleyball. Although she insisted on mispronouncing Bryanna's last name, I'd rather hear her explaining how the setter is being hampered by them being out of system. The guy: he called every serve that was closer to a short lob a float. Oh, well. And, at least at Notre Dame: these are paying jobs. Guy had an open mike when we played there couple years back. he bragged about how he got recruited for more $$$. Made clear that this part of college broadcasting really is a boys' network, in every sense of the word.
