The last week before the penultimate week of the 2018 season. Where did it go? I was so excited, I couldn't wait until Wednesday to start this thread. But let's face it, I share too many of my problems as it is.
One downer about this weekend's games; the killer of volleyball coverage--basketball--looks like it's starting this week. So, it's time to get used to missing games and missing the start of games.
And while I'm at it, Happy Veteran's Day. Thanks for your service. The 11th is the 100th Anniversary of the Armistice that ended World War I--the 11th Hour of the 11th day, of the 11th month.

Apparently, there was a rare Tuesday night game--Hawaii vs Pepperdine. Pepperdine won 3-2; 15-6 in set 5.

Maryland swept Michigan, 3-0; including a 30-28 second set.
That's right. Maryland.
And this wasn't on Volleytalk's Pick the Winners?

Nebraska swept Iowa, the second set was a bit close 25-22, but the Huskers won (it was a sweep).

Nebraska swept Iowa, the second set was a bit close 25-22, but the Huskers won (it was a sweep). Iowa recently (within the last week I think) lost 1 of their 2 best hitters to a knee injury so it's going to be tough the rest of the season. |
