Some of you may have also noticed that Mandi has been MIA the entire Tournament, and in one of the recent pressers, Zoe referred to the team as the "16 of us" when throughout the season the team's focus has been the "17 of us". Perhaps I'm connecting the wrong dots... but it appears that Mandi may no longer be with the team.

Not trying to stir up any Hopeieum, but does Kash Williams technically have one more year of eligibility?
Kash was honored on senior night and Coach has mentioned in a few interviews that this is her final year.

Kash was honored on senior night and Coach has mentioned in a few interviews that this is her final year. She does not. I'm not sure of the technicalities, but she spent a semester at a community college, then transferred to Nebraska for a semester, where she played beach (was on the team), then transferred to Long Beach State, then transferred to Penn State. Seemingly, adding all that together, this was her final season. Zoe, on the other hand, has one more season. And Taylor has two more seasons. |

For this season, the Portal brought us Kash Williams - An OH from LBSU who played club for Mizuno Long Beach. Newly in the Portal is Starr Williams - An OH from LBSU who played club for Mizuno Long Beach. Could we strike gold with another Williams from LBSU?  I don't know much about Starr and I have no idea if the staff would have interest, but the similarities with our current star is fun to note. |

What strikes me is that KSC seems to have extraordinarily good taste and is willing to look for hidden gems. I remember RR doing a bit of that, e.g., Balza who stepped in at MB effectively in ~2010, and Detering in 2018(?) but not to the extent KSC did in just one year. And with her staff doing lots of outreach, I feel a lot more trust now.

Looking ahead to 2023, assuming Holland, Weatherington, Markley, Bilinovic, Grimes, Kuerschen and Starck will all have major roles, I have three questions.
1) Can Hurta adequately replace Elisaia? (I've never seen Hurta play)
2) Who will fill the boots of Williams? (I assume Trammell will fill Clark's boots)
3) Will we have a strong bench...will Van Den Elzen, Erika Williams and Menger be strong enough to step up and challenge for court time
I believe 2023 recruit Falduto (DS) is a future star so we will have a wealth of talent defensively but if the Wisconsin game showed one thing above all, it is that we need at least two more tall, strong and clever attackers. Is Anna Dodson confirmed? Is she at least 6'3" and/or very athletic and clever in the mould of Orzol, Rubin and Chausee? So many questions!

We have the following freshmen coming in:
1. Jocelyn Nathan L/DS 5'6"
2. Catherine Burke MB 6'3"
3. Karis Willow OH 6'4"
I think it would also be beneficial if we could get someone experienced like Anna Dodson at 6'5" who could dominate more upfront. It would certainly help with the blocking.
