Some of you may have also noticed that Mandi has been MIA the entire Tournament, and in one of the recent pressers, Zoe referred to the team as the "16 of us" when throughout the season the team's focus has been the "17 of us". Perhaps I'm connecting the wrong dots... but it appears that Mandi may no longer be with the team. Mandi's Instagram account no longer lists PSU Volleyball. No idea if that means she's in the Portal though. Maybe she's just taking time off from the sport? There's a player on the PSU Men's Team who returned to the team after being off the roster last year. If she's transferring, I guess we'll find out via that transfers twitter account. |

I remember when Keeton took a year off.
When I saw Mandi looking fit again after her rehab, I thought she looked totally engaged in/with the team. So, hope this is 'later' and not 'goodbye.'

According to Brian Toron's Instagram, it looks like PSU is recruiting Anna Dodson, Temi Thomas-Ailara, and Kaylee Cox. All three would be very good gets. To add to this, just started following Riley Buckley from Mizzou too, set for them this year, would be a good back up to Katie. Update - Buckley to TCU, Cox to Western Kentucky |

Darn, Buckley seemed like an interesting one...but that fit really depended on where things are headed for Hurta and Menger.
Will be interesting to see how this works out: 6 leaving, 3 incoming freshmen, hopefully there's some scholarship slots available to attract some transfers to build the roster up more. It's not at all obvious to me if there are any available given all the strange COVID roster impacts.

Two Williams: Kash Williams is graduating; Erika Williams is in the Portal. There's a handy tool to check on future rosters -- the PSU Player Matrix -- which you can reach anytime from the DigNittanyVolleyball.com website, by clicking on the text "PSU Recruiting" on the Menu Bar on the top of that page (the Player Matrix is the first item in the drop-down menu). p.s. As reflected in the PSU Player Matrix, Mandi Morioka is no longer on the team. I don't know whether she entered the Portal, or will enter the Portal. Her departure was amicable and voluntary. |

Any word about Anna Dodson, UCLA Middle, transferring to Penn State? Dodson was seen at Rec Hall for Penn State's NCAA tournament match against UCF. |
