is she eligible to play in 2020 since she is transferring within the conference? This is great news for PSU fans, although I was also confu  sed by the picture which was obviously Jonni. To clear up the confusion, here's a picture of Anastasiya.... |

I assume she’s eligible to play right away, but it’s hard to know for sure without a press release. Unlike other programs, Penn State typically does not acknowledge incoming transfers until they’re added to the online roster just before the season.

I'm pretty sure they changed the rules so in-conference transfers are immediately eligible. Her parents must be proud. From Novosibirsk, Russia to one of the top college volleyball programs in America.
It be really unfair to prevent a player from transferring after the coach who recruited her was fired.

Going into offseason practices, I am really interested to see if any of our hitters will become primary passers next season. I think that could be a big next step in Jonni’s game! I also liked what I saw at times from Cathey last year when she was back row. Looking at the UA match Fitzpatrick also seems like a very capable passer!
Any other areas are you guys looking for development in players??

Any other areas are you guys looking for development in players?? I am hoping Gabby continues to improve her blocking. She excels at so many other aspects. I agree that we also need players to show good passing skills. Kendall covered so much of the court which benefitted other passers enormously. |

Off topic slightly but I think it'll be good for practice competition when the shorter outsides have to swing against Hord, Gray and now Kudryashova in practice. That type of length will on serve them well when they face big blocks during the season.

Also saw a video of prep player - Emma Rhodes. Her arm swing and approach looks similar to Simone Lee. Would love to know if Penn State is recruiting her.

I don't know if I missed something but is Gabi Bailey transferring? They posted the picture of the PSU Varsity club letterman jackets on Instagram and she isn't featured. https://www.instagram.com/p/B9CZCBtBwXY Edit: She does still have Penn State Volleyball in her Instagram bio so its strange the other Freshman/transfer were featured but not her. |

Here’s Gabi Bailey working out with the team in a tweet posted today, so perhaps she simply couldn’t make it to the varsity jacket ceremony or had to leave early for an exam or something.
