Volleyballmag.com has ranked PSU 2021 recruit, Rachel Muisenga (6'-1" Setter) as the #21 overall prep player from all prep classes for potential as a college freshman.
That's how I read the article. Please correct if I am reading it wrong.

Please correct if I am reading it wrong. I think you're correct. Here's the link: volleyballmag.com/tawas-daily-dots-022521/And here's a brief excerpt: "Continuing the mock draft top 30 countdown we started yesterday — college coaches could pick ANY PLAYER in the HS Class of 2021 or younger to start a team with, based on how good the player was projected to be as a college freshman — here are picks numbered 25-21: 25. 24. 23. 22. 21. Rachel Muisenga, 6-1 S, ’21, Adversity – Penn State"

Any insight on the lack of recruits for 2021? The inability to visit doesn’t seem to have affected other teams at all....

To piggyback from psufan24’s question, how about any insight on transfers? Grad or otherwise.

Penn State has five players in its 2021 recruiting class at the moment — Anjelina Starck, Rachel Muisenga, Erika Williams, Cassie Kuerschen, and Quinn Menger. Considering 17 players from this season’s roster have at least two years of eligibility remaining due to the NCAA’s pause on individual eligibility clocks, Penn State was never going to be able to sign a big class this cycle anyway.

PSUs 2021 recruiting class was ranked #4 in the country, so that is encouraging.

I go back to Thayer Hall. I know a lot of us were concerned we couldn't close the deal. But, good as she was (#! in the nation IIRC), she couldn't save the very good FL team yesterday. With her, FL didn't progress much further than PSU. Former GPOY Lexi Sun couldn't save NE. I hope our team doesn't find the diss about 'I need to recruit better' demoralizing.

I doubt the players read this forum with any regularity -- actually, I'd be stunned if they do. We are an older bunch, I suspect. But if they do, then we betray our general lack of nuanced information every day. So they know not to pay us much, if any, attention.

I have two questions.
As I understand it, this season does not count against a players 4-yr eligibility. So, our current juniors could, if they so chose, play for two more seasons, the sophs 3 and the freshmen 4. Is that correct?
I have also read that, if a student chooses to play beyond their normal senior year of eligibility the school, if it so chooses, need not count that extra year scholarship against the NCAA limit. Right?

I believe that's correct. If it's not correct, then the system doesn't make sense, and we all know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the NCAA never, ever, ever, ever -- really, never ever, does anything that doesn't make sense. Edit: looks like you are correct: www.ncsasports.org/coronavirus-sports/ncaa-eligibility-coronavirus
