I have two questions.
As I understand it, this season does not count against a players 4-yr eligibility. So, our current juniors could, if they so chose, play for two more seasons, the sophs 3 and the freshmen 4. Is that correct?
I have also read that, if a student chooses to play beyond their normal senior year of eligibility the school, if it so chooses, need not count that extra year scholarship against the NCAA limit. Right?
I believe that's correct. If it's not correct, then the system doesn't make sense, and we all know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the NCAA never, ever, ever, ever -- really, never ever, does anything that doesn't make sense. 🤓🤔🤦🤓

I go back to Thayer Hall. I know a lot of us were concerned we couldn't close the deal. But, good as she was (#! in the nation IIRC), she couldn't save the very good FL team yesterday. With her, FL didn't progress much further than PSU. Former GPOY Lexi Sun couldn't save NE. I hope our team doesn't find the diss about 'I need to recruit better' demoralizing. I doubt the players read this forum with any regularity -- actually, I'd be stunned if they do. We are an older bunch, I suspect. But if they do, then we betray our general lack of nuanced information every day. So they know not to pay us much, if any, attention. Oh, no. I was talking about the RR comment from the presser. 2 players appeared to be in attendance. I thought the quote from the Coach was harsh...could be taken a few ways but one was awfully harsh. And, yeah, sure, the recruitment of a terminal OH 5 years ago might have helped us this year, but PSU also creates great players. Simone Lee was not nearly as good in her first 2 years as in her second two. Nia Grant. Whitney. And as mentioned above, Gorrell. The skills coaching and player development IMO are at least as important, which in my book means our players we have now, on the bench and on the floor, may be as important as the ones coming in, in the immediate future. Also important ...having a normal year, which this was not.

From what I heard players think posters on VT are a bunch of middle aged men. They have absolutely no interest in what middle aged men (who they consider primarily losers) post on message boards about volleyball.

Pennstate1973 - What an utterly depressing post - you've succeeded in deterring me from having any further interest in reading or posting here. I'll get my PSU VB info from Twitter and the NCAA pages. Account closed. Goodbye.

Englandpennstatefan, I also hope that was sarcasm. Surely you can't be influenced by the comment of one person in a world of seven billion people. I enjoy your posts and hope you will continue. I come here because everyone is polite and respectful toward other fans.

I'm married to a Brit. I recommend a Zoom session with Englandpennstatefan to patch things up. With tea -- Earl Grey preferably. Must be a proper cup of tea. China, no paper cups. I think we all like having him on this forum.

Erika Pritchard of Maryland is now following Blossom, Hord, Parker, Gray, Walls, Broughton, Coach Katie, and a few others I can’t remember on Instagram. She’s in the transfer portal for those who didn’t know.

Here are Pritchard’s career stats during four seasons at Maryland for those who are curious: 1,526 kills, 859 digs, 239 total blocks, 127 aces, and 48 assists.
