I really like the Howard coach. Great guy. And he coaches his athletes very well. Typically a competitive match (despite the cupcake remarks over on VT). What is game time? Thanks!

Although PSU is always #1 in my heart, the presser after last year's match made me feel a lot of love for Howard. And for those of you unfortunately not seeing this year's match at Howard (probably one of the first visits by a B1G team to an HBCU), you missed a wonderful crowd that knows how to get down. Ask a friend if you don't know what it is to see a nearly full HBCU gym get down. So i found myself having to reach out to the Howard coach....
December 5, 2017. Me to Coach K:
As you might (?) imagine, some of the PSU fan base was doing a lot of hand-wringing, not to mention hair-pulling, in set 2 last Friday. Your team’s obvious enjoyment of the game, the fighting spirit and determination in set 2, and their sportsmanship was a reminder of why women’s college sports are a worthy investment.
For the hair-pullers and hand-wringers, your presser statements about Haleigh and the PSU team were a reminder that the PSU fans should be better fans and better believers…and way more grateful. Your team’s satisfaction, that they inflicted some pain that PSU had escaped for 30 years, spoke to the increasing parity we’re seeing in WVB (we’re talking about it all the time on the fan site). That your team took away so many positives from the match, and that you and your players articulate so well the bonds between you, has won you even more fans.
Coach K responded, in part:
We enjoyed our trip to Happy Valley and look forward to causing a little more panic in the future! You have a great team and a great fan base that many programs around the country are trying to emulate, Howard included. Good luck to you and Penn State, I know our team will be rooting for yours!
