The key to set 1 was that I kept the sound off on my TV.

Lexi Sun not making many errors I count on her to serve out or into the net. She is letting me down. She met your expectations at the end there. Maybe cost Neb. the set.

Fun to watch big crowd seeing tightly contested match. Neither of these teams looks like they can beat Stanford, but they are clawing each other quite well. Actually, I think either of these teams could beat Stanford. I think Stanford would be favored, but either would give Stanford a much, much tougher match than BYU did.

Quade is surprisingly good this year. Best player of the 1st set.

The key to set 1 was that I kept the sound off on my TV. Sunderland and Kiraly are worth listening to. (Eg: Kiraly doesn't over compliment anybody, Sunderland calls every ace a "shank pass")

However, Nebraska is not terminal enough and Illinois over relies on Quade. Meantime Stanford's block takes over part of every set.

But Magical Thinking dictates that I cannot -- I repeat, cannot -- turn the sound up now.
