Thanks for the link Nyline. Lots of good information and opportunities to go down rabbit holes.
It's certainly a great time to be a PSU wrestling fan. I was watching Minnesota's Number 1-ranked HWT, Gable Steveson, on B1G Wrestling in 60 last night, trying to figure how Cassar matches up. The fan in me thinks Cassar is quicker and stronger. I'm hoping the fan is right. Shakur Rasheed remains a big question. Early last season, he looked unstoppable, but he faded in the tournament and to me, he hasn't quite returned to that level. His return to that level could be key to the team's success. Exciting times!

Well, at Intermission, PSU leads MSU 14-7. Devin Schnupp lost a major and Scott Stossel, wrestling for RBY, lost a 4-1 decision. The announcers said RBY should be back in the lineup on Sunday. Nick Lee got a major decision as did Jarod Verkleeren. Where's that Berge guy? Jason Nolf got his 57th pin.

PSU came on like gangbusters (old guy term) after Intermission. Vincenzo Joseph got a pin and Bo Nickal got his 55th pin in only 35 or so seconds. Mark Hall got 6 team points when his opponent was disqualified for stalling and Anthony Cassar got a Technical fall. Mason Manville performed well, losing 6-4 as he wrestled for the still-injured Shakur Rasheed. Final score was 37-10. I'll post the GOPSUSPORTS link when it comes available.
On Sunday, PSU goes against the Illini at Huff Hall at 2:00 PM EST.

I think that's far worse (for the loser) than actually wrestling and getting pinned.

I don't think we'll see him again this year now that Verkleeren seems to have learned how to move his feet. RBY was absent for personal reasons. Someone on BWI said he was attending a funeral.

One of the announcers said that too (about attending a funeral).

Nolf forces a Medical DQ, score should be 18-6, I think.
Joseph wins a major with a lot of stall points. PSU up 22-6.
Mark Hall gets a pin, PSU up 28-6.
Mason Manville lost, bravely. PSU up 28-9
Bo gets a Tech Fall, PSU up 33-9. (Bo was ripped off, he had the guy on his back for five seconds)
Cassar gets a pancake pin!. PSU wins 39-9.
Will post GOPSUSPORTS write-up later.
