A THANK YOU FOR INCLUDING THIS NEWS ON DIG NITTANY.
I have been arguing with the CDT that they fail to cover University women's sports to day and this year just as they failed in 2000 and the subsequent years to cover the unveiling of Women's Volleyball then.
I have tried to tie down the University publicity group about including more release concerning women's sports and get no response at all.
The Big Ten women's soccer is not a vigorous competitive group as shown by the few teams that have good records or showing up on the rankings except in the lower levels or the addition of many strong new recruits.
Unfortunately the Booster club for Women's soccer is either non - existent or not yet dealing with the public by reaching out for more exposure.
Perhaps the coach does not want to have publicity for her team and that would be defensible on their part but leaves us seeking information and just being ignored. I have chatted with some of my soccer interested friends here in the Village and many of them were not aware that this past season we were in the final four for the National Championship.
We have a very, very talented coach and she may well not want to add to her job burden but can we not find someway to aid her so that more of the current locals can enjoy the high level of the game as it is played here
The coach has done an unbelievable job getting not only fine athletes but also young women with academic accomplishment

Penn State released its 2019 schedule today, and needless to say the non-conference slate is grueling as usual. Erica Dambach loves to test her team from the get go.

Should be a great atmosphere at Jeffrey Field tomorrow night. Wish I could be there.

Stanford won 2-0. We were severely outgunned in this match. In the first half, Stanford had 21-0 shots vs PSU. The second goal, in the 2nd half, hurt, because it was off a deflection. I think we could have played a tad bit better had we NOT lost 3 starters to injuries earlier this season. I look forward to seeing Macario on the USWNT in the future.
