Thanks Nyline for doing the interview and posting [Five Takeaways from our Preseason Chat with Russ Rose – August 11, 2019.] I enjoyed Coaches' comments which seemed fairly direct to what I presume were well prepared questions.
My takeaways from the takeaways: Blossom is going to set, and block, and even though she's not as tall as some past PSU setters, Coach thinks she can do the job. He understandably is unsure how the Outside Hitter position will shake out, but expects that Cathey will swing hard and get blocked more than some of us would like. The second OH slot is apparently entirely up for grabs.
Very excited to see the first three matches and hopefully get to see much of the ladies in action.
