In the Penn State media guide, Coach Rose offers some candid assessments of the 2019 squad. We'll post these all after the weekend, but we're adding a few this weekend. The first is Tori Gorrell:
History Lesson: Tori was on fire during the 2018 NCAA run, hitting .412 (versus .362 for the entire year) and adding 4 service aces.
Tori is a fifth-year senior that has had some ups and downs. She needs to learn from experiences that she has had and make her last year her best year. The challenge is that we may ask her to play a variety of positions. We need her to be confident with those transitions and be able to blend in with the team as she has good stregth, quickness and competes hard. I don't see any reason why she won't be able to be successful.
