So much information! I wonder if the make up reference was about the Coaches or the players? Also was interested to learn that Coach is not a voting member of the Poll. Given Coach's tendency to rank the ladies lower than others, that may prove beneficial in the (admittedly not very important) rankings.
Thanks Ethan for your efforts.

A. Coach Rose chalks "a bit" of the PSU's ranking up to past reputation/history and not the current teams performance/roster. This is often "a bit " of the case for most every program. Time will tell. B. Massaging a team physically, logistically and mentally can depend on many variables. C. Whether Serena Gray knows it or not she is going to be a force over the next three years. Similar to some other physical players Russ has coached, you may slow this kid down or she may have a off game here or there, but over time she is going to dominate. D. We need to have the occasional hot hand ready to go. Dangle a challenge to your pins (sidenote : IMO In big matches the rule of 3 scorers is often key) E. Hampton involved in the presser is a NOD, that comes very infrequently from Russ. Good Sign

As the great American Sports Philosopher once said The journey is never ending. There's always gonna be growth, improvement, adversity; you just gotta take it all in and do what's right, continue to grow, continue to live in the moment. ---- Antonio Brown Thanks GNU

Good Sign Getting multiple hitters involved in a single match is going to be a challenge for PSU against the better teams. I wonder if Gabby Blossom's avowed penchant for "forcing the middles" will help open up the pin hitters, or (against the better teams) just result in the middles getting blocked.

This feels like so much disinformation. LOL I love PSU Volleyball. I'm excited for this year. These sophomores make me feel a very specific sort of optimism about the next 3 years.
