Tonight's Oregon-Pitt game is being broadcast on ESPN-U (starts at 8:00 PM EDT). Great way to get a look at two of PSU's next three opponents.

Pitt and Oregon playing tight game. No air conditioning in Pitt gym and it was in 90s today. Memories of PSU-USC in 2011, Nyline?
Tied at 16
Pitt wins Set 1 26-24.
Set 2 tied at 23
Oregon takes Set 2, 25-23.
The teams are well-matched and are executing well. They could well be Top 10-caliber. They will challenge PSU--they're better than ISU and LSU.

It appears to me that PSU has better pass reception and better defense than Pitt or Oregon. Course we'll see what happens when PSU plays some stronger teams. Oregon appears to be taller and more powerful than Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh doing a pretty good job of tooling the block but are still getting blocked a fair bit.

Pitt up 10-6 in the 3rd.
Oregon's got a pretty tall front line. MB are 6'2" and 6'4". OH's are 6'2", 6'2" and 5'11". Setter is 5'10".
