I just noticed the friday night attendance was 3478 for the Pitt game, But the friday night game the previous week for the Stanford game was 5178, Just curious you would think the attendance for the Pitt game would have been the same or more, After all the game on sunday in Pittsburgh was 5195 I think Stanford match was a bigger draw (and I think attendance -- i.e. people actually in Rec Hall, rather than some calculation of ticket holders who were there, was closer to 6,000 for the Stanford match). Not relevant to your question, but at the post-match press conference on Sunday, someone noted that 40% of the tickets to Pitt-Penn State on Sunday were purchased after Pitt swept Penn State on Friday. So, if Pitt had lost on Friday, attendance on Sunday might have been under 4,000. Just as if Penn State had beaten Stanford, attendance for the Pitt match at Rec Hall might have been closer to 5,000.
