With her second dig in tonight's home match against Maryland, senior libero Kendall White passed Kim Kumfer for second place on Penn State's career digs list. She still has a ways to go to catch Kaleena (Walters) Davidson for the program record of 1,957, but it's certainly possible with a strong finish to the season and a decent NCAA tournament run.

Yes good for Kendall, But if I am not mistaken, which more times than not, I am, Kaleena played before rally scoring when the sets went to 30, So in my opinion should't that fact need an asterisk.

That's a very good point. Kendall's stats are more impressive when you consider the following.
From Wikipedia:
"The final year of side-out scoring at the NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship was 2000. Rally point scoring debuted in 2001, and games were played to 30 points through 2007. For the 2008 season, games were renamed 'sets' and reduced to 25 points to win."
Kaleena Walter's stats: 2002 --- 107 sets 33 matches 240 digs 2.24 digs/set 2003 --- 129 sets 36 matches 554 digs 4.29 digs/set 2004 --- 109 sets 32 matches 619 digs 5.68 digs/set 2005 --- 111 sets 33 matches 544 digs 4.90 digs/set Career = 456 sets 134 matches 1957 digs 4.29 digs/set
Kendall White's stats: 2016 --- 121 sets 34 matches 500 digs 4.13 digs/set 2017 --- 123 sets 35 matches 462 digs 3.76 digs/set 2018 --- 118 sets 34 matches 558 digs 4.73 digs/set *2019 --- 102 sets 29 matches 422 digs 4.14 digs/set [UPDATED --> post season not included] Career = 464 sets 132 matches 1942 digs 4.19 digs/set [UPDATED]
Without doing a deep dive into the math, I can comfortably say that Kendall (with half a season yet to go) would have already surpassed Kaleena if they both played under the same scoring rules.
My assumptions:
Kendall would have had the ability to get 20% more digs per set based on points (25 points) than Kaleena (30 points).
I, of course, included the fact that in both player's eras, the 5th set only went to 15 points. Also, I assumed that roughly one in 5 matches went to a decisive 5th set.

Thanks NittanyLions, I thought so, not to take anything away from Kaleena or Kendall, They are both terrific defensive players, Just from different era's.
