Comments on Tori's mentorship interesting. During the match we could see her chatting with Serena.
Torterello-Nelson commented positively on how the team was talking and listening to each other. She also noted that it is hard for a middle to switch to a pin hitter. Liz is always complimentary which usually is enjoyable,

Love all the questions about Gorrell. I found her hitting to be really fun last night...and a lot of her hits seemed to catch OSU...The OSU...unawares. Interesting that another player would be aware, right after the match, that Gorrell had hit .571.

Interesting that another player would be aware, right after the match, that Gorrell hat hit .571. At the press conference, all the players and Coach Rose have the stat sheet in front of them, as do the members of the press.

She did not transfer, and even after being replaced as a starter, stayed ready and contributed mightily at the end of last year. Now she is playing outside, digging, serving and passing. A "glue" player who by her example, demonstrates to current and future players that the team comes first.
