Poll: How many would like to hear announcers discuss the particulars of the match rather than: 1) Jordan Larson's wedding date 2) Jordan Larson's officiator 3) Karch's career 4) Paul's Olympic career and presence at a match where a US player was injured 5) The men's draw I feel like I'm at a terrific movie in a theatre surrounded by people who keep talking...about the dinner they just ate. Oh, BTW, who caught Kevin Barnett going on and on about mental health during the Argentina match (re:gymnastics...IIRC we were trying to follow WVB), after he called the Argentina play 'schizophrenic? Well we did get to hear quotes from Russ Rose about Micha and ankles twisting so it was not all bad ... |

I've watched NCAA championship matches -- that's the NCAA Finals, folks -- where the announcers talked for nearly an entire 3 minute period talking about anything other than THE MATCH TAKING PLACE RIGHT THEN FOR THE NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP  |

Here’s an article I wrote on Hancock and Washington helping the U.S. advance to the Olympic semifinals, where they will face Serbia, which is also 5-1.
