Hughes was heavily taped and a long way from 100% -- don't know how big a factor she will be. Sandbothe was completely shut down. PSU handled her slide very well. One way or another Ohio State has to figure out how to get some kills out of her or they don't have much chance. I would expect them to pass a lot better tonight because they know what serves are coming from whom. Though Weiskircher is hard to read.

I think part of the problem for Sandbothe was the passing was poor, so the sets were poor, so her attempts weren't great chances. Hughes being out/not 100% probably also contributed to that. Odd thing on serves: Buckeyes have five players among the B1G leaders; PSU has two. We dominated from the service line.

OSU is better than what they showed on Wednesday, but if PSU play tonight's game like they've done for last two games, OSU will have difficult time beating PSU.

It will come down to the serve and pass again tonight. If Penn State can serve OSU tough again getting them out of system like they did at OSU, I see the same result as what happened on Wed as long as they don't take their feet off the pedal. The women blocked OSU off the court last time and made Sandbothe non-relevant to the point that she did not play in 3rd set. I don't see their Freshman setter being healed enough to be able to serve her normal jump serve today either.

Doors open at Rec Hall in 20 minutes! You there? Yep. Just chatted with Geoff Carlson. Very nice guy. Told him though I am rooting against his team tonight, I like the way they comport themselves and that I hoped Taylor Hughes is well asap.

I look forward to reading Coach Rose's post-match comments. Good to hear that OSU's coach is a nice guy.

Haven't watched the match yet, waiting for our fellow member PSUMaui to upload (no pressure my friend). Seems like a very nice offensive night for PSU. Offensive production from several other players besides Frantti tonight. That's the good thing with PSU, they have several hitters who can carry the team in any given game, even if other good hitters are having a tough night.

Did anybody else see the big changes at the net that Ohio State made in the 3rd set? They went to a lot of short sets which I think it took a while for Penn State to adjust to but when they did in set 4, OSU wasn't able to adjust to Penn State's adjustments. These short sets opened up the slide for Sandbothe for a few kills.

They look like they're bringing it together--last three games have been pretty impressive. If PSU defeats Maryland, Rose will have 1,000 more victories than defeats.
