I joined the forum this evening and have been checking it periodically to see if a new head coach has been announced. I was born and raised in Ohio and moved to the metro Atlanta area after college. I teach Economics and have coached high school lacrosse, wrestling, and volleyball. I am a huge Ohio State fan. However, when it comes to women’s volleyball, I will always root for Penn State! I just wanted to say that I have always been impressed with ALL of the coaches at Penn State. Recently, I’ve been most impressed with Coach Katie. Whether I’m watching the BIG TEN network, BIG TEN plus, or ESPN it is apparent that Coach Katie has positive relationships with the players. She is always encouraging from the sidelines. Just wanted to put that out there. Whoever is the new coach, I’ll continue to support the program. Looking forward to the 2022 season. I have a feeling it will be one to remember (in a positive way that is)!!! First, welcome to the Forum! Second, I support your post 100%  Keep posting! |

Don't have the blocking stats in front of me, but IIRC our blocking stats were our highest/best stats, and they were way up there nationally. IIRC, that's Dennis. Not sure it's a good sign to dump him. And it didn't sound like he was vying for the HC job. Bring in an associate head coach or similar, IMHO Is Dennis Hohenshelt no longer with the program? I have no information that he isn't -- but the GoPSUsports.com website only has info up to the 2021 season, so Coach Rose is still listed as the Head Coach (because he was) and Katie and Dennis are listed as the assistant coaches (because they were). |

Didn't mean to imply that. Was more responding to a commentor that Katie should hire all new staff. IMHO Dennis is a keeper. |
