PSU did better than I expected in the first 2 sets and worst than I expected in the 3rd.

I guess we should be grateful that PSU doesn't play Texas this year  The scary thing about NEB is, how good would they be if they could get Hord hitting? She has not been hitting anywhere close to where she was at PSU. There seems to be no chemistry between the NEB setters and Hord. Bit ironic eh? |

The only good thing about this game was seeing KSC bringing out her south side, you can really tell she really rides for these girls, gotta love that in a coach!

This loss was expected and does not derail the team from the objective of finishing in the top six of the B1G and making the playoffs. They need to take care of business tomorrow against a lower ranked team.

PSU came back a couple of times in the 2nd. They hung with NEB 3/4 of the 1st set. So I do see some positives in the match. Can't let the 3rd set discourage us so much that we don't look at how well they did in the 2nd. Hey, NEB called two timeouts in the second set to try to slow PSU down. |

KSC, I'm sure, will ensure the players focus on the competitive 2nd set rather than the roll over 3rd set. Everyone who's ever played sport at a decent competitive level will know how hard it is to maintain 100% positivity when you start to realise the match is heading for a certain loss. This certainly seemed to happen at about 2-7 in the 3rd. I'm confident we'll see a great performance and a 3-0 win against Iowa. As seeyajohn posted earlier, the loss to Nebraska doesn't affect our first target of making it into the tournament.
