Yes! We’ve looked pretty good. We played 9 sets with them so far and PSU has taken them all. Granted our team is against 17-19 year old guys but we look pretty sharp.
Mark Pavlik has played 4 lineups and gave everyone playing time.
Roster 1 S: Bogner OH: Wildman, Kowal MB: Marsh, Ezeonu Opp: Fisher L: Merk
Roster 2 S: Snyder OH: Kuhns, Valenzi MB: Marsh, Rose/Ezeonu Opp: Kerr Libero: Hartke/Merk
Roster 3 S: Driscoll OH: Cosgrove/Hartke, Tim Herget MB: Ezeonu, Rose/Marsh Opp: Shampine Libero: Merk
Roster 4 S: Tyler Herget OH: Jones, Day MB: Rose, Marsh/Ezeonu Opp: Luoma/Ignaszak Libero: Hartke/Merk

Today marks the last day of the DVV vs Penn State series. Here is/are the summary of what happened in the past 5 days.
We won all 17 sets played between DVV and PSU.
Ryan Merk has stepped up into the libero role splendidly. It seems that either Gabe Hartke or Tim Herget will be the backup libero. Both players can also serve as backup OH.
Sam Marsh was injured in the first set of the 3rd game of the series. He was walking around today with a boot so hopefully its going to be all good soon. The two other MBs are Owen Rose and Toby Ezeonu. All three players played really well in all of the games. It seems that we only have 3 MBs in the whole roster.
We have plenty of options for OH, Setter and Opp. I expect Bogner, Fisher and Wildman to continue starting next season for Oppo, OH and setter respectively.
Michal Kowal played extremely well through out the 4 days of competition. It seems he has taken the 2nd OH starting role as of right now. Michael Valenzi, Will Kuhns, Tim Herget and Matt Cosgrove seem to be next on the OH depth chart. The freshmen look very good too. Matt Luoma hits like he's been in the PSU gym for a couple of years. Blainey Jones has some serious hops. Caden Day played pretty lights out with reception and hitting today.
The three other opposites in line next to Fisher are John Kerr, Jack Shampine and Cole Ignaszak. Kerr and Shampine have seen some significant playing time in the past season and I expect them to continue doing so. Maybe being a blocking sub for Cole Bogner or sometimes starting. Both have been hitting harder than last year. Cole Ignaszak played in two sets in the past 4 days. He served 5 aces in a set in today's game and hit 5/5 in the first set he played.
Lastly we have the setters. Luke Snyder, Jack Driscoll and Tyler Herget are next in line to Bogner. Based on lineups alone, it seems that Snyder is next, then Driscoll. All three setters look to have good connections with their respective lineup of players.
I'm pretty excited for next season! Hopefully we can be big contenders for a natty!

A scouting report by the VBelo Rating System twitter account. They’re quite complimentary of Penn State (as they should)
