Having thought about the Northwestern win a bit more, my take is that Penn State jammed all of the sub-par play Ohio State exhibited in its back-to-back losses to Maryland (1-3 at College Park Ohio State vs Maryland Box Score ) and to Indiana (2-3 in Columbus Indiana vs Ohio State Box Score) into one set (Notorious Set 2) in a match it nevertheless won. Given only those two options, I vote for option #2  |

And for that, I am thankful. And for this site (and the forces behind it), for our wonderful team of fierce women, and the coaches who seem to be finding their feet in this historic year.

Bravo to the team and coaches. Some would have been crushed by the second set, but this team showed its grit and determination. They persevered and pulled out a win. Speaks highly of everyone involved and brings a smile to my face. We Are Penn State.
