I wasn't able to watch tonight's match but seeing Kerr's stats (2 attempts, 2 kills), did he get injured early in the match?

And, 23 service errors... Glad they're being aggressive, but 23.

It looked like it. I didn’t really catch what happened from the broadcast but he talked to Pav after getting his second kill and didn’t (or couldn’t) jump on his serve. He was promptly removed from the game but it seemed like he could stand.

As far as the serves go, It is part of Pav’s philosophy to go on the side of risk. However, I do think that this team is not a fantastic serving team (even if all the serves go in) at least compared to last year. Our outsides are the best servers on this team both in consistency and toughness. And then 2 float servers in Snyder and Kerr or a roll topspin in Kuhns. Then you have Rose and Ezeonu who could be the best servers on the team or the worst. And they’ve been pretty inconsistent lately.

Thanks dc155 for reviving this thread. I almost got on several times to check in on psuphdstudent but ultimately didn't. I will be in State College this weekend volunteering at the Olympic Wrestling Team Trials. But I just learned that my volunteer credentials don't give me access to the venue beyond my volunteer shifts, so I'll try to catch the PSU semi at least and maybe the final depending on the game time. My Saturday volunteer shift ends at 2:00 so I plan to cancel my hotel reservation for that night and head home to the suburbs of NYC since I can't watch the wrestling--which is to say I am not going on StubHub or the like to buy a ticket to an event I am volunteering for.

I hope you have safe travels to State College this weekend, and enjoy volunteering as well as being in town! Too bad the Olympic Trials couldn't give volunteers special access... that would have been really nice!
