I know no one cares at this point, but PSU played a lot better this year than last. Last year was a sweep -18, -22, -9. Now set 3 last year was a total collapse.

Not the greatest result but I’m sure the ladies will bounce back from this with a lot of fire. It’s good to see how tough the NEB defense can get so the ladies can prepare for next time.
Next time the Cornhuskers will be on our turf. 😜

Anyone know why #4 Karis Willow was not on the bench tonight? IIRC, there's a limit to how many team members can travel to away matches. Perhaps this was Karis' weekend to stay behind? (I have no idea.) I recall Jocelyn missing at the MN match so perhaps that weekend was her weekend staying home. |

At least we now know that we're not going to beat Wisconsin or Purdue. The next 3 weeks will be tough. I expect we'll have 4 more losses after tonight. Wisconsin right. Purdue I don't know. I think PSU has a chance against them. We'll see. Purdue took 2 sets off Nebraska, I doubt PSU will be much of a match for them. PSU looks like the 4th best team in the B1G this year. It is what it is. |

Nebraska has a very young team. There is not a senior on the roster and they have impressive freshmen! They will likely get better as the season progresses.
Next week they host Wisconsin. That will be a match well worth watching.
They play at Wisconsin on November 24. If neither team slips up, they will likely be the 1 and 2 seeds for the tournament setting up a third meeting in the finals!
Third place in the B1G is a reasonable target for PSU and that is better than the early season results had indicated. There should be some great matches with the other teams in the B1G as witness the Ohio State and Indiana matches. Much to look forward to!

PSU looks like the 4th best team in the B1G this year. It is what it is. I dunno. Purdue looked pretty helpless in the loss to Indiana and collapsed against Northwestern. I think Penn State matches up poorly with Nebraska because of how their defense is laid out and their varied offense confused the blockers. Purdue has good floor defense but not blocking. They rely on Chicoine and Hudson and I think Penn State blocking can help contain them. I don’t think Purdue taking Nebraska to 5 automatically means they’re much better than PSU. I watched most Nebraska matches this season and this was one of their better matches in conference. Purdue can beat Penn State but I haven’t seen a game from Purdue that unequivocally shows that PSU is inferior. |

Definitely a hard fought tough loss as i was expecting PSU to take at least a set or two during this game. But one thing for sure with this team under KSC they get stronger after each game, especially after a loss. I do expect it to be a very different game when they play NEB again.
But i have to admit i definitely would mark the Purdue games as wins for Penn State. It should be a well contested game on both sides but i just don’t see Purdue being the better team especially when Penn State is playing their game. But just like pretty much every B10 game it could go either way.

I don't think we can ever 100% assume a win or loss vs. any team in the B1G - especially this season... But I like our chances vs. Purdue
