It was nice to see the PSU serve receive show up in a BIG match. The SR in the WISC and PITT matches really looked terrible. I think that this will give them the confidence to play at their top level in the coming important matches. Jocelyn Nathan has been a really big part of the improvement in SR, I think.

Watching Mendelssohn and jurevicius took me back more than a decade. Rec Hall. One of our great players was face to face w and old club teammate who to my eyes she revered. Our player had one of her worst nights. Under ranked team beat us. The visiting player intentionally or not got into our player’s head. At least I’m convinced that’s what I saw. Not what we saw tonight. The women on our team built the emotional framework that allowed Maggie and Caroline to rise to the occasion but not be overwhelmed by it.

So I bet we're the overall 3 seed, with Creighton the #2 in our region as the overall 6 seed. Just hoping we don't get Texas in our quarter.

I know Jess came back but if you look at her body of work vs top 10 teams she is not at the same level as say Babcock, Stafford, Franklin etc. serve receive was rough at the start as well. I am a huge Jess fan but want her to get to that next level and be a team USA star. The beauty is with Cam and Jess not having their best night, we still beat the number two team in the country. Exciting things in store for the tournament. Maybe my eyes deceived me but was Ewing there? Who's Ewing? Sorry for ignorance, but if she doesn't play in the Big10 I won't know her as I can't get the other conferences in England.

It was really fun to watch a defensive gem like this match. Both teams played such a high level of defense. The amazing point at 21-22 in the 4th set was a great example of both sides' incredible defence.

Amazingly confident and composed young woman. Also some great court-level clips of the winning point and the celebrations after. Take a look if you haven't already.

Great insight into the interaction between players before that final point. Thanks Cam and huge congratulations. (Do the players follow this forum?).

I don't think most of the players follow this forum at all (though I really have no idea). Throughout the years, some parents have followed, but not many. And really, they shouldn't -- best to avoid the ill-informed things that sometimes are posted here.

My feeling is that Jocelyn has been most impactful on block and tip coverage. (Why doesn't block coverage get listed in the stats?)

I have been struck by how significant emotions have been for this group. I recall the first Purdue match and how dominant the ladies were in a "revenge" situation. Here Caroline mentioned mental preparation for this match "a couple of weeks ago." There is obviously plenty of talent but also a higher gear that has come out in a few situations this season.
