I'm going to try for a football write-up that employs "eleven toes on two feet" for the football fans. Anybody know of a tOSU BLOG where I could test the concept?

Five fingers plus the libero finger with the different colored nail? So, what about the on-court team when the libero finger (with the different-colored nail) is on the bench? Does your slacker staff bust your unmentionables like this? They were dazed and confused from the get go, so they are trying to figure out whether this is some kind of allusion to Game of Thrones and the King's Hand.

"...six fingers of one hand."
You've said it all, Bud! OK. I was stretching anatomy a bit. Remember, I was trying to convey "connectedness." How would you have done it? I LOVE it!! May be the best Dignittany quote ever!! Would not change a thing.

BTW, Looking at the Colorado Buffs' site, just realized Emily DeMure, part of our 2016 roster (red shirted), is now with them. Did not even notice her absence. Sorry, I hardly knew ya.

I've given connectedness some thought. In terms of communication, anticipating, and teamwork I think "connectedness" is an excellent term. It's having Lacey Fuller diving to the right place at the right time to dig a tip--it's not creating a donut hole in the middle of the court that all but says, "please tip here." It's having Ariel Scott swooping it to make a crushing kill that ends a rally. It's having players like Megan Courtney leading the team in solo blocks because she "knew" where to be. It's a team that seems to function like six fingers of the same hand--that just seems to do the right thing. It's having a player who continually got criticized for being slow being an excellent student of the game so that she knew where to be to make key blocks--like Katie Slay. For being so slow she sure got a lotta blocks and I think her study of her opponents was as or more important than her height. It's having setters who were hyper competitive--you could see they loved sticking it to their opponents--watch Carp against Texas in 2010 or Micha against Wisconsin's setter in the 2014 B1G opener. It's a team that's organic--that seems to function as if it's of one mind. Put simply, you know it when you see it. "...six fingers of one hand."
You've said it all, Bud!

That's almost as good as Micha's ninth kill against Wisconsin in the 2014 B1G season opener.
I wish PSUMAUI would bring those videos back.

Can boosters buy a supply of foam PSU hands...w/6 fingers? I think that is a fabulous marketing idea (though I suspect it might not be embraced). Well done!

I am a voice in the wilderness, but if you have been wondering why recruits may choose another school, in my opinion, it's the snowball effect of all the bad (mostly deserved) press. talk.collegeconfidential.com/parents-forum/1990207-penn-state-fraternity-and-18-of-its-members-are-charged-in-students-death.htmlCheck out post 54 in particular. I have been a member of College Confidential since around 2009, and the Sandusky thread was the biggest, baddest thread I have ever seen. If you want to know how parents feel, there it is. As an alum, it is all heartbreaking. I woke up to my clock radio to the breaking story about Jerry Sandusky. My daughter was a sophomore. I knew then that things at Penn State would never be the same.

As an alum, it is all heartbreaking. I woke up to my clock radio to the breaking story about Jerry Sandusky. My daughter was a sophomore. I knew then that things at Penn State would never be the same. Somehow, I survived milder run-ins between late adolescence, alcohol, and "brotherhood." The extremes with which people consume alcohol seems to have only increased over the last 40 years. My perspective as to how all this goes down has changed remarkably by virtue of getting older and raising mostly daughters and a granddaughter. Nevertheless, as much as parents and loco parentis would like to, we can't always protect our children from themselves. As horrible as it is to hear, it basically comes down to natural selection. For those reading this, I hope all your loved ones are and stay safe and make wise decisions.
