JOE said that your never as bad as you think when you lose and never as good as you think when you win.
Stanford did not have a good floor game in the times that I watched and Franti had an exceptional game(I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER FOR ALI AFTER ALL THE DIFFICULTIRES SHE HAD TO BEAR THESE LAST TWO YEARS)Stanford will improve as the season goes along and they have a lot of talent to put on the floor.

Someone remarked about the frequent floor wiping that went on during the match. It was mostly supervised and assisted by Kendall White. All of the mopping up was on the PSU side. Apparently Stanford women don't sweat. On a more serious note, the two sensational digs that Kendall made on successive Plummer kill attempts near the midpoint of the final set were the turning point in that set. After a while that has to frustrate opposing players when they can't get ball to hit floor due to great defense! Kendall's and Bryanna's defense were game breakers. Period

PS. 2017 Womens Volleyball Team is pretty darn good. (Keep this on the DL)

I hope the team can celebrate his 91st birthday by winning #8.

I hope the team can celebrate his 91st birthday by winning #8. "Confidence is high". I just love that saying when it comes to our sports teams. I still can't believe we won all our matches so far but many of the other Big Ten VB teams did also. In the meantime let's celebrate and be merry. I think I caught the Lion fever.

The girls deserve all the credits they are getting. I just want to mention another element: the coaching staff. The coaching staff seems very effective in preparing the players against the tall Stanford team, and they are able to intervene during a match when needed. Dennis, as a returning "volunteer" coach, seems quite active/vocal. PSU is lucky to have him back. Just wonder how he is able to survive in this role financially.

Has an all tournament team been named?

Here is a fun trivia question: What does Stanford now do (did tonight) but to my recollection, never did before this year but Penn State has done every match that I can remember. Hint: I do believe Stanford does this because Hambly is now their coach. Any guesses?
So, was the sweat wiping the trivia answer? Just curious.

No, that's not the answer. I'll give people some more time to answer before I give the answer.

You get MVP, Most Valuable Post, for recognizing the outstanding coaching staff! It's incredible how the coaches are utilizing each of the players. I'm marveling at the Nia-Tori-Abby trio So effective. Huge props to them!
