Well having the two worst teams in conference same weekend with one of them maybe being one of worst programs in college it would be expected but next weekends back to back should counter balance that providing they win both. Colorado won again so that’s good for psu. That minny loss I don’t get. Does Penn State lose points for that if they beat minny but now gain for Illinois wins since they move up. It’s all confusing We lose points from Minny because their w/l % goes down but you also have to look at all of Penn State's past opponents to see if their w/l% went up or down today. That's just the 50% of RPI points. Still have to look at the other 25% of RPI score where you have to look at all of Penn State's opponent opponent w/l % for today. Lot's of numbers to deal with Too much work. Hats off to you for doing it.

It helps Penn State's RPI with Illinois beating Minnesota because we played Illinois twice. Even after we play Minnesota it still helps Penn State's RPI because we will have played Illinois twice and Minnesota once.
IMO it doesn't matter if Penn State was seeded #1 or #2 or even #3. It comes down to what teams are placed in the same bracket as Penn State and how Penn State matches up against them. Texas might be the team not hosting. The Longhorns have the least impressive resume of teams in contention for hosting. They have no top ten wins and less top 25 wins then the other contenders.

If Penn State wins out, I still see the committee seeding them #1. One match at a time though. Let's get the Badgers on Friday!

That's why these polls are for entertainment only. You tell me in what logical sense Kentucky can be #1. They lost to Creighton which sits at #16 with 6 losses they split there games with Florida which sits @ #2 and they lost to Kansas which is at #12. Now how in the sane world would that put them in front of Penn State,Florida and Texas. I don't know what that committee is smoking or drinking but I wold like to have some.

Thing is, this isn't a poll but a rating index which the committee uses to place teams in tournament. This index does not include anybody's opinion. This is about 90% of their selection process. The AVCA is however, just a poll and has no bearing on who get's in post season.

Well thanks for educating me PSUMAUI. In that case there ratings index needs to be scrutinized.
