Yes, noticed the arena was pretty empty. 8 pm start time not ideal, IMO. I was struck by how many Ks WA was getting without Stan getting a finger on the ball, especially in set 2. Scout that tape! Plummer: take out the garbage. All the garbage. And, Hambly admitted she was fighting a virus. Lot to ask of a player. Lutz was lackluster for the first 3 sets. Not sure what changed to get her involved. Wackiest call/missed call...ALL the WA players saw a Stan hit skim the scoreboard above the court (hate those in venues where WVB is played...) on the way to the WA side. It was not reviewable and to the shock of Kiraly and Sunderland, Coach Cook was yellow carded after raising the issue. Apparently, Plummer has been fighting this virus for over a month now. Best way to recover quickly from a viral infection is to NOT do what she is doing. The more she plays in this condition, the longer it will take her to recover. I've been there. This also could have long term negative health effects if she does not get some rest soon! Hambly should not let her playing in this condition be her decision if that is what he is doing. She started to look tired at the very beginning of the match! Her health should be the number 1 concern here. I know from my own experience what happens when you continue to push yourself in this condition. Your body will eventually collapse from exhaustion and could result in endangering your life. I want Stanford to win for RPI purposes but not at the expense of a players long term health.

Considering that match is at Colorado and USC is without Lanier, I'm surprised it's that close

Oh, Iowa! They had two (three!) match points at home against Illinois...and Illinois takes four (five!) in a row to win 16-14 in the fifth. That's gonna hurt. No idea why Bond didn't take a timeout when they were at 14-13.

We drove and walked in elevations above 12,000 feet. I almost fell over from getting light headed, it was an odd feeling. I dropped my phone and broke the screen, which was a bummer.

In CO they don't call them timeouts. They're called Breathers.
