Stat Overview:
A comparison of stats this years, shows that Purdue is actually pretty evenly matched with PSU.
The only big difference I see is the serve-receive errors (directly related to aces) and blocking errors.
PSU has kept their errors pretty low this season, whereas Purdue has been making a lot of errors (relative to rest of the B1Gs).
Hopefully both teams keep up those trends.
I have attached a JPG screenshot of the 2017 stats for both teams (all matches).
I've highlighted in orange the stats which are key (historically speaking).
I've highlighted in yellow the other important stats to follow.

Purdue... has a 15-4 record while being 5-3 in Big Ten play. Three of the Boilermaker loses were to top-ten opponents in then-No. 7 Kansas, then No. 6 Minnesota, and then-No. 4 Nebraska. The fourth loss came to Ohio State. Danielle Cuttino leads Purdue’s offense with 4.23 kills per set, hitting .340 on the outside. Sherridan Atkinson adds 3.34 kills per set. Ashley Evans is running the offense with 11.60 assists per set, while the offense is hitting .327 per set.A home-heavy opening to the conference slate inevitably leads to challenges on the road in the later part of the season and the Nittany Lions are about to enter into one of those critical stretches.
Penn State plays four of its next five games away from Rec Hall, including trips to No. 17 Purdue, Indiana, Illinois and No. 18 Michigan State over the next two weekends.
