So, at the end of the day, there were no upsets, some mild scares and most fans of their respective teams slightly annoyed thinking their teams should be playing better(whether they won or lost) About sums tonight up. I think that's right. Minnesota had a minor scare -- but that's with Santana barely hitting positive.

Mentioned the team down the road before...Juniata. HUNTINGDON, PA – The Juniata women's volleyball team opened up their NCAA Division III Huntingdon, Pa. Regional competition with a dominating 3-0 (25-14, 25-10, 25-11) victory over Franciscan Friday night.
I believe from the bracket chart that Juniaita is the #1 seed...but NCAA didn't include the ordinals from what i could tell.
They went to the 2nd round and beat Case Western Reserve (Cleveland) at 12,14,17.
Next: Ohio's Wittenberg, a perennial Elite 8 or more (so's Juniata!).
PS: so hard to type Juniata, with autocorrect trying to make it Juanita! I've seen a shirt that alludes to that....

Maryland just took set 2 from Nebraska. Looks like taking a set from PSU does wonders for a program.

Neighbor to the south did not make it out of the regional... they fell to Wittenberg despite Nakita Gearhart's 9 kills. fairly even match from the look of it with each team losing one set at 14.

WI is up on IL 2 sets to 1. WI's 2nd set loss was not pretty (25-10).

Purdue Boilermakers just defeated #3 MN in 5 sets. (set 5 score: 15-9) What a win/match! Purdue was ranked #15. Purdue hit .242 vs .244 for MN, so it was close. MN had 29 errors to 23 by Purdue. I wonder what kind of a wrench this throws into the RPI rankings.
