I saw it on Penn State Volleyball Nation on facebook. I guess she saw the writing on the wall as far as depth of middles at PSU. Would have been hard for her to break into the starting lineup with all the fantastic freshmen coming in. If this is so, it's a shame she used a year of eligibility last season. I wish her the best. And, her departure frees up a scholarship.

Perhaps a lack of scholarship for the upcoming year was the reason for her departure?? A thought that didn't occur to me. I had assumed, perhaps mistakenly, that she had a 4-year scholarship.

I don't believe that her departure (which hasn't been confirmed by San Diego or Penn State, fwiw) had anything to do with scholarship. Whatever agreement was in place prior to Cami May's commitment to Penn State was not changed, as far as I know (although you should take that with several grains of salt, given that I'm also saying that I don't know what that arrangement was).
