People were right I was wrong. Really wanted to not worried about the outside position and believe things would work out but clearly that’s not case. We have no cerebral (high iq pertaining to volleyball plays) type outsides that just see the whole floor and know best option.

I'm going to add some fuel to the fire. Reed and Leath will be lost to graduation after this year. Then next year we get 3 rookie OH's (although all 3 are ranked in the top 100 PrepVB senior aces). It will take time for them to contribute consistently. So, are we looking towards 2020 before a chance to compete for a natty? Yeah, even before today, I was worried that next year will be a tougher year than this one.
Hopefully they will all be as good as Frantti was her freshman year.

In my opinion PSU best and most consistent player right now is white. I like Hampton at 2. Offense just has no consistency. This was one of things that worried me that psu would have two great defensive players in white and Hampton but waste it cause no offense

Traditional win in St John Arena, 25-16. As for a pep talk. There have been other demoralizing losses. Remember Illinois coming back and destroying the Lions at Rec Hall. Then there were the back-to=back losses on a road trip to Purdue and Indiana. So, the season isn't over because of a couple of weak performances. I think that Illinois loss was in 2011? When the Illini was #1 and ended up playing for the national title.
And the 2010 lost weekend in Indiana had Brown, Wilson and D'Errico...so, I have a much worse feeling this go-round.

You have to realize that we are in one of the toughest conferences in VB (actually all sports). If a player is not in the top 30 of Prepvolleyball's senior aces they usually are not the kind of talent that PSU needs to excel in volleyball. We need more talent to win these road matches.

Prob bad thing to say but I’d take that loss every time for a psu win against them in football next week.

I think amongst the freshman, PSU has tons of talent. What PSU doesn't have, or hasn't demonstrated, is the ability to integrate this talent into a cohesive team. Today, I saw a lot of what looked like lackadaisical sets that turned into feckless tips and downballs across the net. It didn't look like my "formative years" as a PSUfan--from 2010-14.

It's a good thing this is a no-name thread. I feel bad for the players (or their families) if they read this stuff.

I find it funny that rose has gone after a plethora of ds players his whole tenure it would seem. They finally have two very good ones in white and Hampton but now have no offense.

Should you have PM'd that? Should YOU have PM'ed that too?
I mean, it's not like it isn't obvious Was never trying to hide it. If I was I def would post similar things on both threads at same time.

I feel your pain. Although, I'm an Eagles fan, so the day didn't turn out all bad.

At least we get to see Micha Hancock and Megan Courtney play in the World Championship starting next Saturday (first day, I think).
