TCU took Texas to five. An upset would have had a major impact on the top ten.

TCU took Texas to five. An upset would have had a major impact on the top ten. The match was televised on ESPNU. TCU actually led 12-10 in set 5, but a controversial video review reversed a point for TCU to make it 12-11, and then Texas went on a serving run. Both teams looked really good. Amusingly, during one of the time outs, Sunderland and Fortner went on at length about how impressive PSU looked (they called Sunday's Michigan match). Sunderland "loves" our Libero and mentioned Taylor Leath by name. Fortner agreed and said that the BiG was hard to predict this year because Penn State is going to get better.

Yes they are going to get better, the more you practice the better you get. They have the talent they just need the repetitions and the familiarity with each other to progress.

Maybe they just replayed the point.
I didn't watch the match, however.

Yes, replay was my only thought although reversing a point is not how I would describe a replay.

How could they take a point away from one team and not award that point to the other team? It was 13-10 TCU. After review, they decided that Texas' middle contacted the ball above the net, and thus was a block instead of double contact. They took the point off the board and replayed the point.

This is good. Now, maybe, teams will have to game plan for Rutgers, not only PSU (since we are travel partners).
