OSU errors and Hampton save the day. Somebody ask Coach Rose if the team still has "THE PROBLEM?"

Coach had the players ready for Ohio State and they swept them off the floor. Congratulations team!

I think I was particularly vexed by the expressions the OSU players had--it was as if they had no clue what it was they were doing that was giving PSU fits, but they said, "What the hell" and kept doing it.

I wonder if the backrow is looking bad because our blockers couldn't top the OH attackers in sets 2 & 3. OH had around 14 kills in set 2 and 16 in set 3. There seemed to be very few soft blocks. It was good to see the service errors go down and the aces go up. I was noticing that early on it seemed that Weischircher was the only one getting aces. I noticed some communication problems when Weischircher wasn't in position to set. Was that her fault or are people not paying attention? Hard to tell if one isn't at the game.

Your observation is more reasoned, and belies a better understanding of the game than I put out there. I tend to type first and never look back. I know our players are very good and put forth maximum effort. The demons inside my head sometimes make it into my posts. Apologies to any I may have upset.

.370 hitting, 5 blocks. Go figure. (Comparing last night (.250 12 BLK) to tonight, I think I like the blocks better)

I have been upset this season that we don't have enough soft blocks. Our opponents either tool the block out of bounds or split the block.
It's been driving me crazy this year.
Regarding who should take the 2nd ball, when Wieskircher cannot get there, I think is more a coaching issue. Other players shouldn't be so tentative.

I just watched the match. I thought tOSU's serve receive improved greatly half way through the match. They had a high percentage of "3" passes off serves and that contributed to many better kill attempts.

One thing I didn't expect this year, saw it again last night: Gray is a solid server. Yay to that.

True. I think part of the issue is the frequently changing positions that are being tried. If the roles are more set, then there would be fewer questions about who is doing what, when. A work in progress, and lots of room to improve in all areas.
That said, for no obvious reason, for years OSU has been making us look a bit awkward.
