The lack of soft blocks has also bothered me. I know that in prior years we sometimes would have good blocking numbers but it seemed like few soft blocks. On the other hand, there was a set against Michigan a year or two back where Michigan had 22 kills. There weren't ANY blocks in that set.

Where can a fan find individual box scores for the PSU individual matches? Such as the past match with Ohio State.

I just looked at the hitting percentage in the 3rd set. OH - .500 & PSU - .538 Neither side was coming remotely close to stopping the other. One thing I've noticed that seems a bit disquieting. Other teams hitting percentages seem to go up the longer the match goes on. This may be a result of the inexperience on PSU as the other teams are adjusting and we're not. Some other stats were interesting. PSU digs were scattered among 4 players 4,5,6,6. On a different note, OH had 8 assists for players other than the setter, which seems pretty high to me. No clue as to why

terrible passing for OSU. They seemed to have a small team suited up. I think I counted only 10-11. At least 3 looked to be in warm-ups. Russ mentioned them missing a starter.

No clue as to why Just a quick thought regarding a larger than normal number of players with assists: Less than optimal passing. I wasn't clear. I understand that this indicates bad passing. I was just surprised that there were so many kills that resulted from assists other than the setter. The stats don't show how many attempted assists there were, so one can't tell where the alternate setter was that good or whether there were so many bad passes that the alternate setters were bound to get a bunch of assists. Sort of like the blind squirrel

Forgive my confusion. I saw OH and couldn't figure why you were referring to Outside Hitters. I should have read more carefully and respected you knowing what you were talking about. Sincere apologies.

Sincere apologies. None needed I only occasionally know what I'm talking about I think we are fortunate to have so many players with setting skills and it has worked to our advantage. I was disappointed that we no longer show individual hitting averages, service aces and errors, and blocking info for all players for each match this year. In the past I enjoyed the extra information.

In the past I enjoyed the extra information. Actually I think they still show that. Look at the Individual tab when you go to the box scores. There is a section for Box Score, Individual and Play by Play. I sometimes like looking at the play-by-play as was unable to ascertain what actually happened when watching.

( gopsusports.com/index.aspx?path=wvball ) I think Millennium gave you the B1G and NCAA sites, as well. I don't know why Nyline and his slacker staff haven't posted current stats this season. Maybe they're otherwise engaged? It was more convenient getting it all on one site, but that's no longer the case. Time to move on to another issue, don't you think?
