Took some of the sting out of the football game today Volleyball has a bit of an edge when it comes to coaching.
Ouch! Throwing some shade there Gnu2?

Here's my next-to favorite Husker fan comment on VT:
It's not easy to squeeze five grammatical errors into 51 words. Well dung!

Here's my next-to favorite Husker fan comment on VT: At the end of the day, we choked. Badly. We could've sweep them if we didn't choked on the first set. We could've win it in 4 if we didn't choked on set 4. Errors costed us. Hopefully we can bounce back against Wisconsin. I'm gonna be salty for a couple of days. Haha. I just commented on that same post. I could say we should have beat Nebraska the last two times we have faced them in tourney. Especially that year we were set point from sweep and then probably would have 2 more championships. See how any team can find something to make work.

I needed this win tonight over Nebraska. I can't tell you all how happy I am right now.
That is not the way to avoid a heart attack!

Hey Millennium, you were right! I though you were delusional when you said that you thought we could beat Nebraska at least once this year!!!
I'm delusional most of the time, but I thought Nebraska was overrated this year.
Setting is the most important position, and although Hames is a good one, she's still a rookie.
I look forward to seeing Blossom and Hames battle it out in the years to come.

Yeah, she was annoying most of the match, but she did try to complement some PSU players.
Having said that, it seemed like she was expecting the Huskers to win, even when they were down 13-9 in the 5th.
First thing she said was how terrific Neb was and only a perfect game by PSU will make this a match. She complemented Maloney like she was the best libero in the world and how White plays so hard to get what she gets. I turn down the volume most of the game and just watched it without any sound
Haha!! That's funny. After set 2, I also turned it way, way down. I couldn't take it any more.

I thought they would have 15 more kills than us. For a while it looked like all of their points were kills and we were only keeping up with them because of their errors. It was nice to see Nebraska crack under pressure instead of us.
Edit: I turned it down also. Was tired of hearing how good Nebraska is.

I get too hyped during matches. That's why you all can't take me too seriously if I make any harsh comments during a match.

This match means that we will be relevant the remainder of the season.
The freshmen still have lots of room to improve.
We only need to clean up the defensive miscues.

Here's my favorite post by a Nebraska fan from VT -- referred to as Fan 3 here (a genuinely nice person, fwiw):
Fan 1 said:"Well, they were simply outplayed by a better Minnesota team…Tonight, that was not the case."
Fan 2 said "I 100% agree. They weren’t even close to being outplayed tonight."
Fan 3 said "Of course they were. They wouldn’t have lost otherwise. All points don’t have the same importance and PSU played more of the important points better than NE. No, Nebraska didn’t play well, but PSU deserves some credit for taking advantage of our poor play when it mattered most."

What I’d do now is try and let reed and injuries players get more rest. Rutgers Rutgers Indiana being next 3 matches they should be able to win those without everyone

Nia Reed said in this interview that Kendall White drinks a Red Bull before every match. No wonder she's so hyped.

As I posted on other forum we can look at this with positive spin that psu has only lost one match that nia reed has played in. She missed both minny and Ohio state. Both road games without her btw

Nice win by PSU. Got the error bug under control as the match went along, to finish with no more errors than Nebraska. Penn State kept fighting through the OOS situations and found a way to score. Good defensive play by White. And this is a freshman-laden team. Lots and lots of room to grow each month, and over the next three years. And, the victory without key freshman Middle Blocker, Kaitlyn Hord. Future is bright, Penn State! Very bright!

Come on ladies... 2 more points and we get rid of that stinkin' monkey off our backs. Not nice to refer to Cook like that. After all, it's not like he allowed his daughter Laura the setter in October 2011 to take the keys to the family car and drive while under court order not to and run down two innocent motorcyclists who weren't even on the road and then failed to stay at the scene and allegedly had AD Osbourne get the judge to let her off with no penalty and back on the team and lay into any reporters who dared question it. Oh, wait...
