There are. And tho I'm disappointed at the loss, they came very close to a win and I wasn't expecting them to be anywhere this close.

I thought PSU played hard and well against arguably the fourth best team in the country.

Unfortunately, not a "W" -- but, without giving up on this season at all (I made my reservations this afternoon for Rounds 1 & 2 in State College -- Millenium, you promised they'd host with 7 losses), I also think we can see how this team has huge upside in the next three seasons. But first, a good run in the 2018 NCAA Tournament (I refuse to define "good run").

You want to hear another cliche?
The Illini wanted it more. NOT!
We need more efficient hitting on the outside.
I'm happy with this result for Illinois. Poulter deserves that #4 seed.

It was good to see the middles being really involved. It was also good to see all the blocks that PSU had, especially against a setter of the caliber of Poulter. Our height didn't seem to hurt us

I dont know why but PSU always lost the game on that rotation with #23 and #43, a setter and 3 DS. The whole world knows the ball is going to be set to the ONLY OH on the court. What a way to lose.

Taylor just doesn’t have the strength to compete in the B1G night in and night out. Is it that or does she not have the go for broke attitude of Parker?
I love Parker!!

Taylor just doesn’t have the strength to compete in the B1G night in and night out. Is it that or does she not have the go for broke attitude of Parker? She does not bring the consistency expected of a senior. She always seems to fade and her arm swing weakens/hits too many off speed shots as the match goes on. I attribute that to weakness (both physical and psychological). I noticed this trend at the start of the season against lesser opponents and now it is just magnified with the better competition in the B1G. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate her contributions to the team...her passing is night and day better than what we had last year, but as one of the two primary OHs on the team, she is unable to take us to that next level when called upon in a match.

I think Leath illustrates the difference between the Big Ten and the ACC. She was the ACC POY, but is at best a mediocre Big Ten pin hitter.

But back to the announcers. As I mentioned, one said the teams were "trading baskets." He also said a play was made by "Jonni Walker" (we know where his head is at). And referred to "Sydney Blossom." OK, names not his strong suit. I still think that, taken as a whole, these comments should have necessitated an Illinois forfeit.

I think I'll ois is in top 2 in Big in SA/set. Actually #1 We really won the serve/receive battle. I had no idea that ILL had 153 aces to our 109 at the beginning of the match. We out aced them by a significant amount. Course PSU had given up less aces than ILL to start off with.
