Thanks Ethan. Always nice to hear what the Coach has to say.

Coach RR said, "Jordyn Poulter’s the top setter in the conference." Those are some big words. Interesting that he likes her more than Samantha Seliger-Swenson of MN.
Thanks Ethan!

thank you Ethan, Enjoyed reading Kaitlyn' comments on Haleigh' advice to her, and of course RR take on the whole. Glad that honesty is his forte. When anyone wants to improve themselves they need the truth, sugar coating your faults helps no one.

Their assist stats are very close (SSS - 11.81 A/S and. JP - 11.69 A/S). However, Jordan is the taller setter which is always a plus on the net (SSS - 0.38 B/S and JP - 0.81 B/S). They have their respective teams performing at top tier of the conference so blessed to be able to watch them in their last year.

If I'm Cathey this morning, I'm absolutely devastated. Pure, unvarnished RR feedback. Brutal. Ouch.
After, two choices. Hope she makes the better one, because when she's good she's very very good.

I'm guessing that this isn't the first time that Coach Rose has addressed these issues. Sounds almost like a final warning.

Possibly. But do you think this is the first time that Coach Rose has provided this feedback? I have a hard time imagining that the Coach would address these issues publicly, before speaking privately with a player. To me, it sounds like a way to emphasize a message. If there aren't changes, what's next?

Coach has said many times that he tells players what they need to do, and that some listen and others don't. However, I would caution against reading too much into comments about particular players. Allyson is getting some playing time, notwithstanding whatever motivated these statements. Coach was probably asked a question about Allyson and responded. Note too that he said "Allyson needs to get it together. That's probably not much different than a lot of other people." So he was not necessarily calling Allyson out in partiular.

If there aren't changes, what's next? Her playing time doesn't increase. Not a warning -- statement of a fact. And I agree, it's probably not the first time he has said it to her (and, as Elliot noted about Rose's quote, about other players as well.)

As Nyline said - Her playing time doesn't increase. Not a warning -- statement of a fact. And I agree, it's probably not the first time he has said it to her (and, as Elliot noted about Rose's quote, about other players as well.) I would wager that a number of players have issues like this. If a player isn't totally dedicated to improving themselves, hitting the college scene could be a rude wake-up call. Now they need to work hard to get a place. They are no longer bunches better than the other players and need to work hard to improve and to earn playing time. Especially when their coach is Coach Rose. He will play the best player, which is usually the player who has practiced best the prior week.
