not to cause panic, as this might not mean anything... but in recent weeks chloe removed mention of her commitment from her IG title and started following OSU WVB along with their coaches and athletes

If PSU has a good season, and KSC shines, recruits will come. If PSU has a mediocre season, and KSC doesn't shine, recruits will fall away.

Not really surprising when you have a coaching change. I see Ohio State as a rising power and a likely top five of Nebraska, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Ohio State and Purdue in the B1G. PSU will likely be bottom half for the next couple of years. The 2023 and 2024 recruiting classes will be crucial to any future success.
The transfer portal is a reinforcement device not a building one. To compete you will need to be near the top of the recruiting pile.
Here is a question. If you were KSC, what would be your top three selling points?

I'd like to be magnanimous and say I wish her well, but I don't.

A new day just begun in England and what news to wake up to! The forum has taught me there is huge dislike of Nebraska among PSU fans, so this news is a massive bombshell. Would love to be in Rec Hall when the two teams meet in the fall.

What is that old adage…”If you can’t beat them, join them.” Very apropos here.
Best wishes to Kaitlyn and hope she can get that championship that she never was able to get with PSU.

I think Coach Rose said it best when he was doing the Art of Coaching Volleyball video chat a few weeks ago when talking about the transfer portal. He said he had a player who said she wanted to go play for a national championship (not sure if this was Hord or one of the other transfers, but based on the transfer destinations, sounds like Hord). He told her she had four years to work hard to make it happen here and she didn't.

I find her choice unfathomable How so?? She picked PSU, one of the top ten volleyball teams with good history of knowing how to build a team, develop her and win championships. With her scholarship gone, she searched for another of the top programs to do the same. And, 3 - 5 of those top programs are Big Ten competitors. I would not expect her to choose Alabama or Rutgers. 🙂
