Parker was that good huh? Didn’t watch. But over in volleytalk seems she impressed everyone. Comming out moment I heard She had 68 or 69 swings tonight and hit around .250. She scored 31.5 points, which was the most by a very wide margin.

My crystal ball was right this time. What a sweet victory. Ladies played so hard and we just wanted it more than they did.

Gotta give credit to White, Leath, and Hampton in the back court. They were tremendous; digging everything and passing extremely well.
Weiskircher and Parker both probably had the best match of this season.
Reed's play helped alleviate some pressure and gave PSU another dimension.
If Rollins would've gotten going, I don't think PSU would've won. Also, the Gophers had some key service errors, which helped... a lot.
Freshmen finally playing with some experience.
PSU still lacks depth. I fear a different outcome if we would've lost Leath late in the 4th.

The freshman middles are beginning to develop a slide attack.
I was going to say something about 2 complete misses between Bryanna and the middles in the last Northwestern match, but saw none of that tonight. Home crowd was great.

I wonder if Wisky was in the house. Their match was in the afternoon and they probably had enough time to make it to State College and attend at least part of the match.

MN up 19-18 in set 3; TO MN. Rose commented on this in the presser, but also noted that the team fought back.

I just cancelled my mani/pedi appointment. I don't have any fingernails or toenails left. Best post of the thread.

A magnificent effort by the team. A lot of worry for Regional hosts and 5-8 seeds.

Lots of positives tonight. The middles made themselves into viable threats which opened the outsides more than usual. Reed showed confidence in critical moments. She wanted the ball in set 5. Cathey came in for an ineffective Leath and got a few critical kills (needs to work on her block though). The back row was solid as usual, and Weiskercher played perhaps her best match, in large part because everyone else just played harder. Most important, even though they could not keep a large set 4 lead, they came from a deficit in set 5 to find a way to win. The crowd was great even without the students on campus. Even the broadcasters did well. Very happy for the team.
Now they have to avoid a let down tomorrow.

My crystal ball was right this time. What a sweet victory. Ladies played so hard and we just wanted it more than they did. Props on your prediction. I never like the "we wanted it more than they did" formulation. First, really can't prove something like that, if I even knew what it means. On every point we won, it was because we "wanted" it more? Or just the few at the end of the sets we won? I think it unnecessarily disparages great effort by the losing team. Obviously, my subjective opinion and also a pet peeve of mine that may well be shared by noone else on this forum (or elsewhere).

I really hope we don't get seeded with Stanford after this win. The predictions had us seeded #11, I fear we may be moved up to #8/9.
