I wonder what the crowd will be like on a Friday afternoon at a neutral site?

I wonder what the crowd will be like on a Friday afternoon at a neutral site? I'm guessing pretty small.

Couple hundred, at best, IMO.

I'm not a big fan of the regional matches being hosted by the highest ranked team. I understand why they are doing it but it makes it difficult for me to see any of the regional matches. I went to Kentucky at least 3 times to watch PSU play in the regionals (I'm in the Chicago area so it's about a 6 hr drive). Last year I went to PSU as I have a brother who lives 1 hour from the campus. But if PSU isn't hosting a regional, I will more than likely not be seeing them (live that is). Course, when Stanford hosts a regional, it could be almost anywhere else and there would be more people to watch it. Oh well.

Will record it on ESPNU and watch on delay. I understand why they do this too. Unfortunate for the competitors who don't play the home team.

I just posted a side-by-side statistical comparison on page 1 and highlighted the differences.

Any interesting factoid from GoPSUsports:
Of course, UCLA went on to win the NCAA title that year.

We don't like facts, we only like our gut instincts here. Really, I don't have high expectations of making it out of this weekend. I'm actually more excited about the thought of picking up a transfer OH and setter this offseason. There's lots of talk about potential high ranking recruits seeking new homes.

This is the beauty of the NCAA tourney...on any given night, anything can happen. While the rankings have us as the underdog to get out of this region, we still have a shot. I am a few hours from getting on the plane to watch and cheer our girls on and the excitement is palpable. Here is hoping for some outstanding volleyball!

This is the beauty of the NCAA tourney...on any given night, anything can happen. All things being equal and certainly acknowledging your statement, 15 other teams dont have Russ Rose sitting on the bench managing the game. 😁
