So questions I have coming into this.
#1 Does Coach Rose use these matches as a chance to rest Ali or Megan?
#2 Does Coach Rose put Megan back on the OH and Simone to the Rightside?
#3 Does Coach Rose slide Aiyana to the Rightside , Megan to the OH, Heidi to the M2 and Simone goes to reserve?
#4 What changes will we see in the backcourt as a result of shuffling of frontline players?
#5 Will we see multiple lineup sets on this road trip to see which one works best?
The only one I would attempt to answer with 90% conviction is #1. Coach will approach these games the same as any B1G and play his starters.

Planning to attend the game against the Rutgers. So, even if not the whole game, hope to see most of the regulars playing.

I agree with cross5 -- the first is the one with highest degree of confidence. The others are wild, uninformed speculation on my part: #1 - I don't think so -- at least not until match is clearly in hand. My guess would be that he wants to work on picking a line-up, and sticking with it. #2 - Your guess is as good as mine. With my vast coaching experience (nil) and proven track-record assessing talent (non-existent), I liked what I saw with Megan at RS and Simone at OH, but to quote Sargent Shultz, "I know nothing." #3 - I think it depends on how Heidi has been practicing. Coach Rose alluded to that possibility in his Press Conference after the Rec Hall Ohio State match, but certainly didn't say he was planning to do it. #4 - I assume substitution patterns would change -- but others are better-versed than I to describe/speculate #5 - I think we only see multiple line-ups if the first one isn't working.

It's better to think you know nothing and be right than to think you know something and be completely wrong.

So questions I have coming into this. #1 Does Coach Rose use these matches as a chance to rest Ali or Megan? Doubtful. Seems to me that Megan needs the reps, since she missed 4 games. Ali could also use the reps as well in her new 6 rotation position. Anyway, can't see a 19 & 22 year old needing that much rest. #2 Does Coach Rose put Megan back on the OH and Simone to the Rightside? Seems too early for Megan to go back to her usual duties. I assume she's still nursing her injury a bit. I'm surprised she was on the court last week. Those ankle injuries take a while to heal completely. Although maybe by next weekend's matches.#3 Does Coach Rose slide Aiyana to the Rightside , Megan to the OH, Heidi to the M2 and Simone goes to reserve? Give Heidi and Simone the reps in the positions they can be most effective in. He'll need them both down the stretch. One injury to a starter and he'll be forced to put them in cold; not a good idea come tourney time.#4 What changes will we see in the backcourt as a result of shuffling of frontline players? Weaker opponent, so you'd think, if PSU is up, coach Rose will put some DS's, who need reps, into the game.#5 Will we see multiple lineup sets on this road trip to see which one works best? Curious. Against a really weak Rutgers, maybe. The only one I would attempt to answer with 90% conviction is #1. Coach will approach these games the same as any B1G and play his starters. Thank you Cross5. I have been waiting for someone to start a thread on the Maryland match.
Interestingly enough, I found an article which shows top senior High School Under Armour All-American recruits. Looks like Maryland will be landing 2 of them next year. Look out, they might be a surprise good team in 2-3 years time. www.avca.org/awards/all-america/high-school/#girls Also, (although most of you already know this) Steve Aird, the head coach of MD, comes from the Russ Rose coaching tree.

According to this article Maryland will also be getting a 6’8.5 RS named Katie Myers (3rd AM). Could be interesting.

Without Maryland's service errors, we would have lost this set already

This maybe even worse than the loss to Northwestern. There's no explanation at all for this kind of phishtrixy play

It is obvious that Frantti is mentally AWOL tonight. Terps get handed in despite all their service errors. This is same PSU team that played Northwestern. Let's see what Russ can do.

Just tuned in. Middle of the 2nd set. Why the set 1 loss? What, if any, lineup changes are affecting the match? I only have audio feed right now, haven't seen any of the video yet. The Live Stats show Maryland with a .344 Hitting Percentage through 2 sets. How is that even possible?

P lus, Maryland is very good serving team.

Maryland is hitting .344 through 2 sets. I mean this is Maryland. Nebraska just demolished this team last week and we'are having all kinds of trouble. Even if PSU comes back to win this and at Rutgers tomorrow, they will not retain the #1 ranking next week.
