I think this is the first time we have seen this lineup since NorthWestern
Pin hitting is very suspect for us.
Defense and serve receive is not sharp at all.

Just tuned in. Middle of the 2nd set. Why the set 1 loss? What, if any, lineup changes are affecting the match? I only have audio feed right now, haven't seen any of the video yet. The Live Stats show Maryland with a .344 Hitting Percentage through 2 sets. How is that even possible? I missed almost all of first set. Second set PSU looked crisp up to 18 points. Then sloppy. P lus, Maryland is very good serving team. We all should have missed the first set like you. |

Maybe MD coach—Steve Aird—had them fired up to play his former team in set 1.
I've worked up some stats comparing this team to past 6 National Championship teams.
"On paper" this year's team definitely looks the weakest; not figuring in any intangibles.

OK, hitting up to .404 for PSU and down to .243 for MD on Live Stats. Looks better, but still needs to improve.

Well, looking at the positive of this match, PSU's best set thus far is the 3rd, which they normally play poorly in this season. PSU hitting up to .426 for PSU and down to .244 for MD on Live Stats through 3 sets. Wish I could've heard what Russ said to them during the 10 minute break. |

One of the signature play for PSU is winning the point on the long rallies. But tonight, it seems like they have lost all of them
