I know that is how the fans feel about it but not so sure the coaches using Rec Hall always feel the same way. In fact, James Franklin thought it was critical to get the Lash Bldg updated so the players knew how important football was to the university. You never get a second chance to change a recruit's first impression. But at least we have air conditioning now so we are making progress. Just saying that perhaps the question is not if PSU needs a fancy facility to attract recruits but do the wrestling and VB programs deserve a modern facility to showcase these fantastic sport teams. Face it, football facilities and equipment were outdated in Paterno's last years, not for lack of funds but just lack of impetus to change anything. When O'Brien took over, his strength and conditioning guy Fitzpatrick took a look at the weight room at Lasch and said most of the equipment belonged at a Curves spa. Franklin similarly saw the need for some updating. I don't know if VB needs facility updates. Obviously RR should get (and probably does get) whatever he thinks is necessary to keep them on the top. I think Rec Hall is a wonderful volleyball venue -- when it's full it is definitely one of the best venues in the U.S. I wouldn't assume that a new building is what VB and wrestling need. If anything playing at Jordan creates some challenges for the BB teams -- it's no fun when you're playing in a huge facility with 75% of the seats empty. Love it

Love it As a fan who's watching PSU volleyball will almost certainly be limited to TV, I think Rec Hall is great. The camera sight lines are among the best I've seen--a good angle and not too far away. For those who attend, it seems a shame that such a large percentage of the seats are beyond the endlines. I would imagine that this distance has an even bigger impact when it comes to watching wrestling. Nevertheless, the place has a lot of character and I can't imagine a modern design that would offer so unique a venue.

I love Rec Hall. And from the quotes I've read over the years, it seems the players do too.
Thank heavens for the air conditioning, those early season games were often unbearable.

I have watched matches from beside the court and behind the court and there are advantages to each. Behind the endline can be a very good seat depending on what you're watching for. I'd rather be behind the endline 20 rows up than 50 rows up on the side.

Who is Gabby Blossom, is she any good? Verbal to PSU Girl has some serious hustle! Some great real nice sets from backrow! But in the video she is a DS not a setter, is she any good as a setter? On a different subject, have you ever tried Movavi Screen Capture studio? The software has a built in Editor and designed for Youtube.

I'm not a fan of any screen capture software because you can lose quality and sometimes frame rate is low. Will use it when I have to (for BTN Plus) and when I do I use Audials 12. I use Replay Media Catcher on YT and I can download any video from Youtube at highest quality available. Also use Firefox addon called "VideoDownloadHelper" for quick downloads of HD video's.

Here's a link to our post on DigNittanyVolleyball.com.

Here is a clarification on Gabby from Prepvolleyball:
Gabby Blossom, 5-10 RS, St. Joseph’s Academy (St Louis, Missouri) – A natural setter, Blossom played out of position as a right-side to lead the Angels to a 26-9 record. She was the team’s 3rd leading blocker with 68, passed a 2.3 as a primary passer, and posted 268 digs and 50 kills. “She did a great job of blocking and played good defense,” said coach Karen Davis, “She is very composed, especially for a freshman.”
Gabby's dad is a basketball coach so perhaps everyone is expecting Gabby to keep growing. Just saying.
