I do have more optimism about next year. The early sets give them something to build on.

Oh well. I guess all that's left is a poll as to who we want to win it all after today's matches. They played three great sets. Damn Well at least 2.9 great sets!

I do have more optimism about next year. The early sets give them something to build on. This team showed heart. Yes, they let Set 3 slip away, but this was against the #1 seed, at home. Nebraska is a very, very good team (much as it galls me to say that). If they win a 2nd consecutive NC, I'll say they are a great team. But I'm among those rooting for Minnesota. And, I agree, this could be a much better team in 2017. Don't underestimate the impact of a year of growth and maturity. Plus, Cami May. I'm optimistic for next season.

I would have loved to see the Rolfzens' collegiate careers end with a loss to Penn State. I won't miss seeing those stankfaces next year.

I am now a Gopher fan for the rest of the tournament. I was just thinking the same exact thing.

She was everywhere. She was definitely the difference in the match for the Huskers. Saved sooo many points for NU.

If someone would've told me before the match that we'd take the Huskers to 5 sets, I would've been ecstatic. We got swept both times we played them at home (this year and last year). That's why I was being very realistic with my expectations.
The fact that we came within 1 swing of sweeping Nebraska, is just icing for me. We don't lose any of our starters next year. I like how PSU is looking heading into the 2017 season.

Ugh...I'm gonna be sick. Did we really just squander 2 sweep match points?! Wasn't able to play during the game, but at least I got to watch. I don't think PSU believed they could win. I think they scared themselves with how close they were.
